Spirit Journey

Spirit Journey is a story of a warriors quest for knowledge and spirituality.The story begins with the Heluska dancer preparing the arena and calling on the spirit of the Eagle to bless the grounds. The eagles enter to the spiritual sounds of the Native flute player. As the eagles enter the warrior finds his way to this sacred place. As he calls to the eagles they surround him and leave him with a gift of their feathers to help with his quest. With the power of his ancestors being carried in the gift from the Eagles, a Lady Jingle dress dancer from the north blesses and prays for him leaving behind her fan as a way to remember his spirituality. These two gifts complete his journey of understanding. As she leaves he begins to dance using the gifts that he has acquired.  As with any gift he must be prepared to battle to maintain the gifts. Two dancers attack him and he battles them off remaining victorious and dances to celebrate. The show is conclude with colorful exhibition style dancing including the hoop dance. At the finale all dancers are dancing together. The show is a non-stop collaboration of dance, theater and music tied together with eloquent voice overs to complete this highly energetic presentation.
